Essential Structures: Bees

Goal: Students will research and explain a body part of the Bee to justify why it is essential to its survival and to pollinating.

How to: Create a Buncee that will explain the assignment’s tasks to students, and use the assignment functionality to send it to your class. Have students then create an argumentative piece on why saving the bees is essential to our agriculture’s health. Student will create a five slide Buncee: 1) an intro slide 2) a slide with a definition of what pollination is and why it’s important to our agriculture 3) a slide explaining how and why bees pollinate 4) a slide about a body part of the Bee that is essential to pollination 5) a conclusion slide.

Next Generation Science Standards: 4-LS1-1. Construct an argument that plants and animals have internal and external structures that function to support survival, growth, behavior, and reproduction
